Job Description
Key Accountabilities ;
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Provide safety training and education programmes for warehouse staff
- Investigate accidents , incidents , and near – misses to determine causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections ,incidents , and training sessions
- Ensure the availability and proper use of safety equipment
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans
- Experience in quality systems and compliance audits
Experience , qualification and other requirements ;
- Bachelor`s Degree in Occupational health and safety , Environmental Science , or a related field OR Diploma in OHS with 03 years of experience
- Certificate in safety management ( OSHA , NEBOSH ) is preferred
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer or a similar role in a warehouse or industrial setting
- In – depth knowledge of OHS guidelines and regulations
- Strong communicational training skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
