Qualifications;
    • A degree with a minimum of 2nd class Upper division or Grade point Average (GPA) with a minimum of 3.0 out of a maximum of 4.0 points obtained from a local or foreign university , recognized by UGC of Sri Lanka , In any of the following subjects / disciplines;
  • Economics , Statistics , Mathematics , Accounting , Banking , Finance , Commerce , Business Administration , Management (Public / Finance  / Accountancy / Business ) Marketing , Human Resource , Engineering , Computer Science , Physical Science , ICT , Law , International Business , Valuation , Agriculture or any other discipline related to banking & finance 

OR   

    • An Associate Member of the Institute of Banker of Sri Lanka (IBSL) or the Charted Institute of Bankers – UK (CIB)  with a minimum of 01 year experience at an executive level in a Bank or reputed financial institution…….
  • The Institute of Charted Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICA – SL) 
  • The Association of Charted certified Accounts (ACCA – UK)
  • The Charted Financial Analyst Programme of the CFA Institute (CFA – USA )
  • The Charted Institute of Management Accountants of UK (CIMA – UK) 
  • The Institute of Charted Accounts in England and Wales (ICA – EW)   
Age limit;  Not more than 28 years as at the closing date of the application
Selection Procedure; The knowledge of shortlisted candidates will be tested by written examination , Candidate who obtained 50% or over marks for examination will be called for the interviews                
Training & Placement;  The appointees will be required to undergo a training period of 02 years covering all aspects of banking , Six months assessments will be carried out during the training period. Those who complete training of 02 years successfully will be absorbed into the permanent cadre of Staff Officer (Salary Gr05-b) and placed on the initial salary step of the salary scale of Rs 90,645 – 1,220 × 20 – 115,045/= per month together with Bank approved allowances (10% Allowance , Cost of Living & Rent Allowance)          
Remuneration; Trainees will be paid a fixed monthly allowance of Rs 75,000/= (all inclusive) during the training period
