Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager for warehouse operations to oversee our warehouse facilities . The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse staff, ensuring operational efficiency , maintaining inventory accuracy and implementing safety protocols
Key Responsibilities;
- Oversee and manage all aspects of warehouse operations , ensuring efficiency and productivity in a mechanized environment
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures ( SOPs) for warehouse activities
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the warehouse
- Manage and optimize warehouse layout and space utilization
- Develop and manage warehouse budgets , monitor financial performance , and implement cost – saving measures
- Compile and review quotations for warehouse services , ensuring competitive pricing and profitability
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of warehouse staff , fostering a positive and productive work environment
Qualifications;
- Proven experience in managing a mechanized warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of basic financial disciplines and budgeting
- Experience in compiling quotations and understanding pricing strategies
- Understanding of promotional and marketing aspects within the logistics and supply chain industry
- Excellent leadership , communication and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in ware house management software and other relevant tools
