Job Description

Key Responsibilities;
  • Ensure compliance with the legal framework specific to the insurance industry, including company`s obligations, 
  • Accurately complete and submit required statutory documents to government  authorities within specified regulatory timeline 
  • Prepare and maintain Audit schedules ( Monthly , quarterly , annually or as required ) tallored to insurance industry standards 
  • Establish effective compliance monitoring and reporting systems , promptly addressing potential risks and escalating issues to the Management and Audit & compliance committee 
  • Serve as the Anti – Money Laundering Officer , ensuring adherence to relevant law , regulations , and evolving standards 
  • Develop and deliver training with HR and Enterprise Risk Management to prevent money laundering and promote compliance awareness 
  • Advice senior management and the Board on governance , compliance risks , and review contract terms to reduce operational risk
  • Collaborate with departments ( Audit , legal , finance , etc…. ) on compliance requirements and ensure policies and procedures are current and effectively implemented 
Qualifications / Prerequisites / Requirenments;
   Experiences;
  • Bachelor of Law / MBA in Law / Business Administration / Finance or related field 
  • Attorney at Law qualification will be a distinct advantage 
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Compliance / Corporate Affairs 
  • At least 05 years in a Managerial position

  • Leadership skills to effectively manage and develop the compliance team
